The Salebration Continues

Good afternoon everyone!
My DH has arrived home safely for his mid-tour from Afghanistan.  He will be here for 15 days so I might be a little incognito as we will want to spend as much time with him as possible.  He will return to Afghanistan and not come back to us until Feb of next year.  It will be a long time, so forgive me if I am not around.
Well before I disappear, I want to show you what I did for the ADSR this week.  We were only required to do one challenge this week as our second challenge host has been placed in the hospital.  They offered us an optional challenge in place of it but I do not know if I will get to it.  The first challenge was to have us tell everyone what our "pefect day off" would be.  We were also given three "recipes" to choose from to complete our layout.  I choose the first recipe which was to have 3 papers, 1 frame, 1 journaling block, one or more buttons, 1 title, and 1 ribbon.  Here is my layout.... you can find it here if you want to leave love.

Now my Birthday Salebration is continuing with a new percentage off and of course a freebie for you all.  This week most of my shop will be at 50% off through Thurs 21st.  For the freebie, I have put together a little kit for you all to help me celebrate.  This week I will offer you the papers and you will have to come back next week to pick up the elements.  Remember though, that I will have other freebies inbetween there so you will surely want to check back frequently to make sure you grab all my freebies offered this month.

Charity Mega Collaboration for Heather Manning

Good morning everyone!
It is a beautiful day here.... thankfully, I have been pretty gloomy with all the cold and rain lately.  Not to mention the mud the boys seem to be attracted to.  But after getting the cleaning done, some creativity flowing and so designing done, I plan on taking them to the park to get some of their energy out.

I have told you that I am involved in the ADSR 6 which has released another challenge.... this one is going to be tough but I will hopefully get it done before the next one is released.  I am also going to get working on some freebies for you as well as a new collaboration that will be coming out in May.  Until then, please check out this wonderful Mega Charity Collaboration in honor of Heather Manning and her family.  Heather is a fellow designer who came home from her holiday to find that her home had burnt down.  No one lost their lives, including her pets, but the home was a total loss.  She has braved this with high spirits and positivity.  In fact, she has been seen participating in other charities even though she is homeless.  Over 70 designers came together to create this awesome kit in efforts to raise money to help her build a new home.  All proceeds will go directly to Heather and her family.  The kit contains 200 papers and 376 elements, plus several alphas, styles and templates.  This is just a collaboration you do not want to miss out on... and doing it for a good cause is just a huge bonus!

You can pick up this kit in several differnt options.... Bundle, Kit, Alpha, Tmeplates, 2 different styles but I would go for the entire bundle to make sure you don't miss anything.  You can pick it up only at Scrappity-doo-dah here.

NO PIRATES ALLOWED... another train is leaving

Good day everyone!


I know it has been a while since I have posted and that is because my children have had spring holiday and I have been trying to keep them busy so they don't drive me crazy. I am crazy enough trying to run the house, take care of them and try to fit in designing and now creating as I have entered the ADSR. Not sure what I was thinking, but someone said they needed a partner and I need to get back to basics so that maybe my designing can get even better.
Ok now for the new "Blog Train"! This month is called "No Pirates Allowed" because as designers we have tired of people taking our designs and either selling them or giving them away to others without our permission. Though the kit is more pirate/ninja inspired the whole premise is to remember we work hard for what we do and when we give freebies it is out of a wonderful place in our hearts. We love to share our talent but do not like to be take advantage of, so while you download all the wonderful parts of this blog train, remember to send others to our blogs for the downloads and leave love for each designer you choose to download from.

Overwhelming Number of Freebie Minis

Good afternoon everyone..

No I still cannot really see that well but much better than it was. Now I see the letters on the computer but they are just doubled a little. I go back tomorrow to get a check and I will see what the doctor says about how things are healing.
Put the DH on his plane last night and had a rough night with one of my little guys. He is extremely close to dad and just is so sad that daddy had to leave and go to Afganistan for a year. We have some really cute "daddy dolls" that were given to us free, and I am going to print some pics of dad to put in the face part. The kids also recieved little dog tags that I can put a photo in; so the photos I took yesterday of each of the boys with their daddy will be going in them.
Luckily I have enough going on with my vision and trying to design that it won't set in for me for a couple weeks or so. I usually do alright the first couple weeks then it hits me but with the support you all have shown, I am sure I will make it. Thanks for all the support by the way!
Ok I have vented enough.... I have entered another designer contest, this time over at ScrapMatters. I am still in the final round over at Stuff To Scrap but I have to finish a full kit and don't have to turn it in until next week. But good news for all of you... a free full kit with alpha and everything (not to mention the other 9 finalists). Ok so for this contest, we (meaning 90 of us) were given secret numbers and a color palette to work with. We were told we could only us 2 commercial use items, but luckily I only had to use one...yeah for me, I am learning so much. Anyway, I thought I would show you some of the fantastic minis you can pick up over at ScrapMatters. If you happen to pick them up, please leave some love and if you do a layout, place it in the gallery, you will recieve points towards free stuff at the shop.

Good Old Summertime Freebie

Hi there...

I am sorry that I have not been on lately but have been stricken with this horrible sinus and ear infection for the last week. Made it to Round 3!!

Good day everyone....

This will be short and sweet as I am in a hurry and will have no other time the rest of the week to get you this little kit. I have made it to Round 3 of Stuff To Scrap Designer Contest. This week we were given a photo for inspiration... we had to come up with our own theme and color palette. The photo was of a peach tree and a little boy eating a peach. I was then inspired to remember my childhood in the country of running barefoot in the wild flower fields, picking wild raspberries, stopping by the little corner store and driving down the dirt roads. The sights and smells just overwhelmed me to go with the kit I came up with filled with black, tin, golden, peach and cream. I hope you enjoy it and go leave me some love in the gallery.

I know you have be excited as I am part of the wonderful "Blog Train" again this month! Back to back months is pretty exciting not just for you (all those free goodies) but for me. STS Designer Challenge Week 2 Entry

Hi there everyone....

It is time for my Week 2 Designer Challenge Entry at Stuff to Scrap. Everyone got to move on to Week 2 as long as they got something entered in Week 1, so that was good. They are doing a great job at teaching us how to go back to the basics. This week we had to create a kit with absolutely no styles, actions, purchased textures or CU products except what they gave us to work with. I am proud to say I only used the texture and the ribbon they gave us to work with... which was extremely stressful and difficult but very rewarding. I learned how to make glitter (still working the tweeks out), making and saving styles and how to create textures/papers without CU4CU products. Yeah me!!!! Ok well, I know you all are waiting for my entry so here it is... make sure to come back frequently because I have 3 CU freebies to go with the kit that I will give out here and there. I would really appreciate (as well as the other contestants), if you would swing by the gallery at Stuff to Scrap to leave some love. You can also check out the other freebies as well.

Its Time for Another Train!

Happy New Year!

I know I have been quite quiet through these holidays but I ended up throwing my back out on Christmas (not sure how) and am still trying to recover. Hopefully it will get back to normal soon, if not, another visit to the doctor.

Enough of that, I hope you all enjoyed your holidays however you might have celebrated and are ready for a brand new year of new experiences, hopes and joys. This time around "The Blog Train" has come up with a soothing theme and color scheme. Its all about Grandmas Quilt and how it feels to be at Grandmas home and feeling the love.
