Template Challenge Time Again

Good day everyone!
I hope you are ready for challenge..... it is my turn again for the Designer Challenge over at Faith Sisters.  This month I needed some inspiration to get my juices flowing on a template for you all so here is my inspiration from one of my wonderful CT members Jenn using the kit "Life's a Beach" by Simple Girl Scraps

Hi! I'm Alive And Well

Hey everyone....
Sorry that I have been away for so long.  Things have been just crazy here in my life with school ending (which means a lot of things I have to attend at the school), my new business of embroidery (that my DH so graciously started right before he left for a year....hmmmm), and of course trying to get some designing done (which has been on the back burner).
I finished up the ADSR which was so wonderful seeing I haven't gotten to just scrap in  such a long time.  Below you will see the rest of my layouts and some of the kits I used to make them.
This one is about my middle son while we were on vacation in Michigan last year.... the kit used is called Just Beachy and should be released some time in the next month or so.

This one is me (which I don't scrap about much) and I used my "Preppy Princess" kit

This one is about a family recipe that has been passed down from generation to generation.  It is the yummiest "Chocolate Gravy and Buscuits".  The kit I used is called "Home Cooked Happiness" a Faith Sisters Collaboration

This next layout is about a wonderful lady who has just been outstanding with my son and has coached his soccer team for 2 years now (or rather 4 seasons).

Finally my last layout of the race is about all the wonderful people I have met and call my "accidental family".  I want to thank all of you that support me in my adventures here online as well as in my life.  All the wonderful comments just radiate love and compassion.....THANK YOU!  The kit I used was my "A Mother's Blessing" kit.

Now that the race is over, its back to designing.  I don't have anything new in my shop but I have been working on a couple of charity collaborations as well as the upcoming "The Blog Train" for June 1st as well as a new blog train which will be released on a monthly basis starting July 1st, so definately be on the look out for some freebies.  I also have a guest designer stint coming up in August where I will have an exclusive kit just for that shop.  You will have to stay tuned to find out where I will be guesting.  However, I would love everyones input on what type of kit they would like to see as my exclusive..... I have some ideas for the kit but would like to hear what you all are specifically looking for.  All you have to do leave note in the comments area, if your idea is choosen (and you leave contact information) you will recieve the kit for free.  I will be taking ideas through July 1st.

Grand Finale of "Playing For Keeps"

Good day everyone!
I hope you all are having better weather than we have been having here.  For the last several days we have had tornados, severe wind and rain, lightening and thunder and never know when we will lose our power.  And from what the news says, its not over just yet.  But I have found a little time (and power) to finish up my entry for the finale over at "The Studio".  I decided to go with some word art thanks so some suggestions given to me.  I have come up with 6 different ones.... some of which come with alternates with/without shadow and with/without add ons.  I figured that some of you might not want it the way I originally did it so I wanted you to have choices.  I will make you wait no longer......

Collaboration Release and Template Challenge

Good day everyone!
I hope everyone is having a great Thursday so far as my time with my DH has been great.  Though it hasn't been really relaxing, we have gotten a lot done around the house such as new hardwood floors in my living room and a sliding glass door to my deck (the other door had been leaking and rotting).

Design Contest Round 2

Good day everyone...
Its pretty soggy here but luckily it stopped everytime I had to walk to the car... yeah! But I like the rain as it is soothing and very helpful for my garden and grass that I am attempting to grow this year. Never been much of a green thumb and tend to kill any pets I own (let you know that I have never owned anything bigger than a gerbil).
Well, I have finished round 2 of the design contest at "The Studio". We had to make 30 (no more no less) elements to match our color scheme from round 1. You can now pick up both the elements and the papers over at the gallery. If you pick up mine or others, please leave some love either here or in the gallery. We have worked hard on these items and am offering them to you for free.

Charity Mega Collaboration for Heather Manning

Good morning everyone!
It is a beautiful day here.... thankfully, I have been pretty gloomy with all the cold and rain lately.  Not to mention the mud the boys seem to be attracted to.  But after getting the cleaning done, some creativity flowing and so designing done, I plan on taking them to the park to get some of their energy out.

I have told you that I am involved in the ADSR 6 which has released another challenge.... this one is going to be tough but I will hopefully get it done before the next one is released.  I am also going to get working on some freebies for you as well as a new collaboration that will be coming out in May.  Until then, please check out this wonderful Mega Charity Collaboration in honor of Heather Manning and her family.  Heather is a fellow designer who came home from her holiday to find that her home had burnt down.  No one lost their lives, including her pets, but the home was a total loss.  She has braved this with high spirits and positivity.  In fact, she has been seen participating in other charities even though she is homeless.  Over 70 designers came together to create this awesome kit in efforts to raise money to help her build a new home.  All proceeds will go directly to Heather and her family.  The kit contains 200 papers and 376 elements, plus several alphas, styles and templates.  This is just a collaboration you do not want to miss out on... and doing it for a good cause is just a huge bonus!

New Contest and Sale!

Good afternoon!
I wanted to thank all of you who have picked up my part of the blog train and left some really nice comments.  Please remember that if you missed any of the previous trains that I have been on, the links are still up and you can pick them up as well.

Charity for Multiple Sclerosis and Winner of "Lucky" Drawing

March 14-20, 2011 is National Multiple Sclerosis Awareness week, and in honor of that, 34 designers got together to create a mega-kit called "Movement," and then a Creative Team got together to design matching Quick Pages and Templates.


MS stops people from moving, and we're raising money to help the National MS Society make sure that doesn't happen.


This kit includes 190 Papers, 419 Elements, 3 Alphas, and the QP set includes 42 QPs, 1 brag book, and 6 templates.


100% of the proceeds from the sale of this bundle go to the National MS Society, more specifically, Mandy Hornbuckle's BikeMS ride.

Helping with An Austism Charity with Chance of Multiple Freebies

Final Round Entry Is In!

Well hey everyone!

I have finally finished my final round entry for the contest at Stuff to Scrap.  Unfortunately I did not move on in the contest over at ScrapMatters but thats ok because I really needed the time to focus on finishing up the kit for Stuff to Scrap.  My eyes are extremely tired from working for hours yesterday to finish up and quality check the kit, but I think it is well worth it.  My kit is called "Preppy Princess" and it was inspired by an ad I received in the mail.  I am not a girly girl type kit making person so this really stretched my abilities and creativity.  There are 10 papers, 24 elements, 3 wordarts and 2 alphas.  You can pick up all the parts of the kit here except for the 2nd alpha, as we could only enter one. I should also have some glitters and other freebies for you in the next couple days so be on the look out. I would love to see some layouts created with this kit.
