Grand Finale of "Playing For Keeps"

Good day everyone!
I hope you all are having better weather than we have been having here.  For the last several days we have had tornados, severe wind and rain, lightening and thunder and never know when we will lose our power.  And from what the news says, its not over just yet.  But I have found a little time (and power) to finish up my entry for the finale over at "The Studio".  I decided to go with some word art thanks so some suggestions given to me.  I have come up with 6 different ones.... some of which come with alternates with/without shadow and with/without add ons.  I figured that some of you might not want it the way I originally did it so I wanted you to have choices.  I will make you wait no longer......

Salebration Winding Down and One Last Freebie from Happy My Day Kit

Round 3 - The Alpha

Good morning everyone...
I have had a few minutes in between spending time with my DH and my kids to get my round 3 entry into "The Studio" design contest.  Though I will not be around much, there will still be so much for you to do and pick up that you might not even notice that I am off in "make believe land" - that is I make believe that I will not have to send my DH back to war.  This week is my birth day... so watch out for a super special sale for that day only, I will have the elements pack to match "Happy My Day", possibly some wonder QPs from my outstanding CT members, Thursday Designer Template Challenge at Faith Sisters, ADRS layouts 7 & 8 as well a very special collaboration release.  So much to do and so little time to do it in.
Well, lets get started on a few of these wonderful things. Crystal from Crystal's Creations and I got together again to make another wonderful collaboration.  We will be releasing it on Thursday with a weekend sale of 30% off.  I thought I would give you a little sneak before Thursday just to tempt you to come back and check it out.

Now I know you all have been waiting to see what Round 3 over at "The Studio" would bring..... and it brings alphas.  We continued with the same color scheme and theme of wedding.  We were all asked to make a complete alpha to match and here is my entry that you can of course pick up at the gallery along with my papers and elements.

Design Contest Round 2

Good day everyone...
Its pretty soggy here but luckily it stopped everytime I had to walk to the car... yeah! But I like the rain as it is soothing and very helpful for my garden and grass that I am attempting to grow this year. Never been much of a green thumb and tend to kill any pets I own (let you know that I have never owned anything bigger than a gerbil).
Well, I have finished round 2 of the design contest at "The Studio". We had to make 30 (no more no less) elements to match our color scheme from round 1. You can now pick up both the elements and the papers over at the gallery. If you pick up mine or others, please leave some love either here or in the gallery. We have worked hard on these items and am offering them to you for free.

Week Round Up

Good Saturday everyone!
I thought before I started the day with soccer games, I would drop by here and give you a rundown of what has been going on this week with my contests.
First the ADSR really stretched things this week with some very interesting challenges.  The first was to do a layout of what our family does together (or what each like to do) but the trick was that you had to have the focus part to be about that and you had to journal.  The second one this week we had to do as a team..... My partner, Michele, gave me photos and journaling and I had to do the layout.  We had to do a layout about traveling and had to make sure we had a "vehicle" some where in the layout.  Here are the layouts from this week.

Ok so for the Designer Contest over at The Studio..... I came in 2nd place for my first week entry..... toot! toot! for me.  That is so exciting seeing there were so many wonderful entries for this week.  Now I am presently working on the new challenge which is to have 30 elements that match the papers.  We continue with the wedding theme and our color palettes.... I am about half way there right now with my new entry but of course the weekend is always busy.  Don't forget that the papers for round 1 are still available for you to download for free... please make sure to leave love for any designer that you might download from as we all work hard.

New Contest and Sale!

Good afternoon!
I wanted to thank all of you who have picked up my part of the blog train and left some really nice comments.  Please remember that if you missed any of the previous trains that I have been on, the links are still up and you can pick them up as well.
Now I have entered another designer contest, this time over at The Studio.  This contest is less stressful than others as they will have weekly winners, you can play any week(s) you want and the admin/designers are the only ones who will vote.  However, you can still pick up all the freebies for the next 4 weeks to make yourself either a mega collab or many smaller kits.  So far it seems that a lot of us have chosen to work with a very similar color scheme.  We got to pick our colors and they picked "Wedding" as the theme.  The title of mine is "Playing For Keeps" and you can pick my papers up in the gallery post now.  Please be nice and either leave a comment here or in the gallery.  Don't forget to stop by the shop.... they have some really good sales going on right now!

ADSR Challenge 1 and 2 plus Sale

Good day everyone!

Things have been pretty hectic here but are finally starting to settle back into a normal schedule after spring break. The ADSR contest has started and we have already completed 2 challenges. My partner is Michele known as Creatively Obessed in the forums. We are known as Team 107 - The Faith Sisters for the contest. It would be wonderful if you could stop by and leave us some love or at least check out the sponsors of the challenges.


Our first challenge given out by the new shop Digi Scrap Connect.  We had to have a layout telling 6 things about our family.

Our second challenge came to us from Scrappity-Doo-Dah.  This challenge was a little more detailed as they requested we use 2 papers layered on each other, 3 shapes cut out of the top paper, a title, 1 photo of someone who inspires us and journaling of 25-50 words.

Now coming up in April, I am going to be celebrating my 39th birthday!  I would love for you all to celebrate with me so I have huge sales going on as well as freebies throughout the month.  On the 16th is one of my fabulous creative team members birthdays as well.  I think it would be outstanding to wish her a happy birthday on that day (she always says that she don't get too many people to her blog.... maybe we could make her day!)  Every week will be a different sale and on my Birth Day there will be a super special sale.  I will hopefully have a couple new collaborations ready for the month as well as some other releases included a free template that will be given out for my Template Thursday Challenge mid month at Faith Sisters.  For week 1 (April 1-7), my shop (except 1 collab) will be on sale for at least 35% off.

Charity for Multiple Sclerosis and Winner of "Lucky" Drawing

March 14-20, 2011 is National Multiple Sclerosis Awareness week, and in honor of that, 34 designers got together to create a mega-kit called "Movement," and then a Creative Team got together to design matching Quick Pages and Templates.


MS stops people from moving, and we're raising money to help the National MS Society make sure that doesn't happen.


This kit includes 190 Papers, 419 Elements, 3 Alphas, and the QP set includes 42 QPs, 1 brag book, and 6 templates.


100% of the proceeds from the sale of this bundle go to the National MS Society, more specifically, Mandy Hornbuckle's BikeMS ride.

Final Round Entry Is In!

Well hey everyone!

I have finally finished my final round entry for the contest at Stuff to Scrap.  Unfortunately I did not move on in the contest over at ScrapMatters but thats ok because I really needed the time to focus on finishing up the kit for Stuff to Scrap.  My eyes are extremely tired from working for hours yesterday to finish up and quality check the kit, but I think it is well worth it.  My kit is called "Preppy Princess" and it was inspired by an ad I received in the mail.  I am not a girly girl type kit making person so this really stretched my abilities and creativity.  There are 10 papers, 24 elements, 3 wordarts and 2 alphas.  You can pick up all the parts of the kit here except for the 2nd alpha, as we could only enter one. I should also have some glitters and other freebies for you in the next couple days so be on the look out. I would love to see some layouts created with this kit. You can post them here in the gallery or you could send them to me at dba.apupplo@gmail.com. It would be outstanding if you left myself and the other finalist some love if you choose to pick up our entries!

Overwhelming Number of Freebie Minis

Good afternoon everyone..

No I still cannot really see that well but much better than it was. Now I see the letters on the computer but they are just doubled a little. I go back tomorrow to get a check and I will see what the doctor says about how things are healing.
Put the DH on his plane last night and had a rough night with one of my little guys. He is extremely close to dad and just is so sad that daddy had to leave and go to Afganistan for a year. We have some really cute "daddy dolls" that were given to us free, and I am going to print some pics of dad to put in the face part. The kids also recieved little dog tags that I can put a photo in; so the photos I took yesterday of each of the boys with their daddy will be going in them.
Luckily I have enough going on with my vision and trying to design that it won't set in for me for a couple weeks or so. I usually do alright the first couple weeks then it hits me but with the support you all have shown, I am sure I will make it. Thanks for all the support by the way!
Ok I have vented enough.... I have entered another designer contest, this time over at ScrapMatters. I am still in the final round over at Stuff To Scrap but I have to finish a full kit and don't have to turn it in until next week. But good news for all of you... a free full kit with alpha and everything (not to mention the other 9 finalists). Ok so for this contest, we (meaning 90 of us) were given secret numbers and a color palette to work with. We were told we could only us 2 commercial use items, but luckily I only had to use one...yeah for me, I am learning so much. Anyway, I thought I would show you some of the fantastic minis you can pick up over at ScrapMatters. If you happen to pick them up, please leave some love and if you do a layout, place it in the gallery, you will recieve points towards free stuff at the shop.
