Hi everyone!
My apologies on being MIA as things have been crazy lately. Now that I have my DH home, I have had time to take care of myself which included going to the doctor to try to get things fixed that have been bothering. Since then I have had 3 MRI's, seen the NeuroSurgeon (yes I have to have back surgery), and have appointments for a hearing test, some sort of dizzy test and ENT. Things are starting to come together and hopefully I will get everything taken care of soon and feel a whole lot better.

Not only have I gotten to work on my physical but I get to work on my mental as well. I have started therapy and will be going on a ladies retreat ot Pigeon Forge in Feburary. So if you don't see me its because I am away refreshing my body and mind.

I know I haven't released anything new lately but I have something for today. I revisited my "A Rabbits Tale" that was inspired by the story of Peter Rabbit. I have removed some of the items I didn't feel really worked and fixed any issues that I felt were not up to par. I also have a cluster frame freebie made from the kit that I really think you will enjoy. You can pick the kit up in my shop at With Love Studios.

I am running a little late on postings as I have had really bad back pain and, of course, the holidays that have prevented me from getting on the computer to work. Good Friday everyone!

I think we are on the count down.... 3 weeks until Christmas! I hope you are getting your shopping, wrapping and baking as things get closer. I have finished all the birthdays I have during this season and have just a few Christmas gifts to go. Right now though, we are collecting items around the house for the family to donate to those less forunate and then going to go and adopt a little soldier from the soldier tree (like the angel tree but for military children). We have been trying to teach my children for the last couple years that they have so much and that we should give more to those who don't have so much. Not sure if its kicking in yet but we will continue to do it until they move out.

Hi everyone!

I hope that you had a fabulous Thanksgiving (if you celebrate)! Now that your bellies are full and hopefully you got a little nap, its time for some shopping. Ballroom Blitz was created for a fan who was in need of a "ballroom" type kit so scrap some photos of her and her darling husband as they had been taking ballroom dancing classes. Hi Everyone!

Before I start - I want to THANK all the military, military spouses and their families for all that you give and do for us in this country. Being a military spouse myself, I know what you do on a daily basis and again THANK YOU!
I hope you all have a fabulous DSD weekend! It was a great opening at my new shop at With Love Studios. We had some amazing challenges going as well as the introduction to some outstanding Designers. I know some of you were busy trying to get all the goodies, sales and playing games at your normal hang outs but I really think you should swing by With Love Studios to check us out. We are not going to be into full swing with the challenges until December but we have added a couple more Designers who will be announcing their new shops this weekend and I have a new special called "New Release Fridays". Seeing this shop has barely anything and I have a lot of kits in the works as well as a lot of retired kits I would love to update, I am going to try to release 2 kits per week, at least for the next couple months. With "New Release Fridays", I will introduce you to my 2 new products as well as offer them on sale for 30% off until Sunday night. Here are my first 2 kits included in this new promotion..... Yeah I remembered to post this before someone contacted me and told it wasn't up.... Yippee!!! Ok so this month our "theme" was spring and we were given some beautiful spring colors. I had a very hard time getting inspired by this but when I did, it just kept going and I think it came out really nicely. I hope you like it and enjoy the other parts of the train as well. Some of you might notice the new changes to my packaging... hmmmmm. I am getting ready to open up a new shop in a brand new store. Final Round of Design Quest at Scrapping FairyTales

Good Day Everyone!
I hope you are having a great weekend! Been a little crazy around here with our tempatures but we are mustering through it. I have finally finished the final challenge at the Design Quest.... this one was a very hard challenge for me as I could not come up with an inspiration to get me going until yesterday while making caramel apple cupcakes for my son's class party. For this challenge, we had to come up with an inspiration, turn that into an inspiration board to show our process of designing the kit, then create a brush. On top of this, we had to use our brush on 1 paper, create 1 plain paper and then 3 others that convey our theme.... then we had to create 12 elements, besides our brush, 1 tag, 1 frame, 1 fastener, 1 ribbon/string, and at least 1 item using our brush... then 7 other unique elements. I ended up using my brush quite a bit and it was pretty easy creating my own brush. Had I known how easy, I probaly would have been making some.... so be on the look out for them in the future.
Here is my inspiration board which all started with the "apple" then the palette from rottencupcakes.com and finally some google searching (finding the cute idea of owls).

Today starts the new weekly sale over at Daisies & Dimples Shop. Each week there will be new and exciting items in the sale folder.... definately don't want to miss it. This week though, you can make out even more in my shop there as well as my shop at Faith Sisters as I still have my month long sale going on.

Now we are into week 3 over at Scrapping Fairytales .... this weeks challenge was very fun but difficult; however, I did get a chance to get it done before Sat this week. Ok so the challenge went like this.... Choose a photo of someone or something that inspires you. Obtain your color swatch and theme from the photo then create only 5 papers (2 plain, 3 pattern) and 12 elements (only 6 could use CU). I decided on a photo that I just took last week of my boys while at the zoo... the photo shows exactly their personalities and I love it. As most of you know, they are all on the Austic Spectrum and have ADHD so I took that with their individuality as my theme and came up with my mini. I hope you like it and leave some love if you choose to pick it up.

I hope everyone is having a great day! I continue to support and let everyone know about October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This time I want to support all those men who have been diagnosed, suvivor and lost the battle with Breast Cancer. Not everyone knows that millions of men are diagnosed every year with this terrible disease. I have created a mini for my week 2 challenge at Scrapping Fairytales in support called "Real Men Wear Pink". There are 5 papers and 13 elements fit for any page but specifically for those men in your life that you love and hope for.

I have entered yet another contest, yes I know crazy, but it keeps me learning and my brain working. This time it is over at Scrapping Fairytales and round 1 we were given a choice of swatches and a button. We had to use the button to create at least 1 item in our kit as well as a minimum of 5 papers and 8 elements. Seeing that I have a family of ladies who have passed from Breast Cancer or other related cancers, I decided to honor my mother, who is still fighting, and create a mini celebrating survival. The kit is called "Making Strides", which my mother came up with, and has 5 papers and 8 elements. It will only be available until next Sunday so get while you can.

The Blog Train for October is Leaving The Station!

It is time again for The Blog Train.... so why not hop aboard and pick up a lot of goodies! We had an open theme this month but still had the same palette to work with. Because of the open theme, not all the kits will be theme cohesive but will be color cohesive. Please please please, leave some love for those you pick up and (as my mother always said) if you don't like it, please just pass it by and don't leave nasty notes. Good day everyone!
I hope you all are having a great start to the week. I am finally feeling a tad bit better.... I hate the season changes as my sinuses go crazy and I usually get a cold. Guess I can't complain too much as I don't get overly sick any other time of the year.

So I talked before about my DH wanting to start a new business doing embroidery, digital scrapbooking, photography and cake design.... well, I have started making strides at making his dream come true. I got my foot in the door at my son's elementary school and with the creativity of some of the teachers, I have been swamped with embroidery. I have also volunteered to help with the yearbook which has sparked some interest in the photography and digital scrapbooking. I love that I am getting this on a roll, but it has definately make me much more busy than I was before.... but I love doing it all (even if I get fustrated and tired) and can see my DH and I making a business out of it. Thanks to all of you supporting us in this new adventure!

Ok now on to the "Magic"! This last round in the 2nd chance designer contest was to create a kit around the theme Midnight. This took me a while to get my head around seeing that at Midnight I am usually (hopefully) asleep; but, I just kept asking myself what do I think of midnight. I came with Cinderella's time limit of midnight. Then I didn't want it to be the cutesy animated version so I fell back on my favorite movie "Ever After" starring Drew Barrymore, one of my favorites.... and decided to go with the scene of her in that gorgeous gown and sparkly wings. I hope you enjoy my version of this long time childrens favorite.... make sure to head on over to pick it up because it will be gone on the "Stroke of Midnight" on October 1st.

Good day everyone!

Alright so this week went a little smoother than the last except for my computer that I do all my embroidery work on stopped working. I have a friend working on it right now in hopes that he can get up and working again. If not, I do have my designing computer but then I have to run up and down the stairs when I want to fix details. Guess that is better than not having any computer at all... Right?!?!

Anyway, I made it to the 3rd round of the 2nd Chance Challenge and am very proud of what I made this week. We were given a basic group of colors (browns/greys), given the theme "Evening News" and were told to add a couple colors, use no CU and create 4 papers/10 elements. Seeing that around here the evening news is filled with homecoming, I decided to do a military homecoming mini (which I will definately put into a full kit). It is definately not like the other entries seeing its very specific but I really am proud of my work. I changed the elements many times before I came up with some that I thought worked well together. I have included 4 papers, 1 word art, 2 layered buttons, 1 banner, 1 child reaching, 1 flag on pole, 1 frame, 1 tag, 1 staple and a grouping confetti. I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it. I have also created a second word art to go with the kit that I am giving you.... seeing that mommies are in the military too. Would love to hear what you think and see what you make with it!

Summer Afternoon

Hi all!
This week has been another crazy week with playing with medications, emergency room trips and extra business with the embroidery. Things have been great today though, and I am so pleased for that. Yesterday, I had to take my oldest to the ER after he cut his hand between the thumb and finger with a box cutter. He was trying to make a poke ball out of a tennis ball.... when he was trying to cut the tennis ball open he got himself. He came screaming through the house apologizing for cutting himself. We got it under water (and I saw how bad it was) and then he asked me if I would have to have his hand cut off now. Trying not to laugh at him, I told him no but we were going to the hospital for stitches. Being petrified of needles, we talked about when I had stitches and that sometimes they have a topical numbing gel. When we got to see the doc, he asked for the topical and was given it but was told because of how deep it was, he would also need the needle. He was ok with that and we proceeded. He ended up with 4 stitches inside and 8 on the outside. He did no damage to muscles or anything else.... doc said he was lucky. Just hate doing those things by myself, but then again the DH is afraid of needles too so I would have done it by myself anyway... hehehe. Love you sweetie!

Ok so I did not make it to Round 2 of the Next Designer Contest due to an issue with an element but they are allowing me to proceed in the Second Chance Contest. This week we have the same challenge as the original contestants.... we had to use their preview, make 6 papers, 1 cluster and minimum of 20 elements. We had to use the theme and title of Summer Afternoon and make sure that our title was very prominent in our preview. My interpretation of this was a family kit so I hope you like it..... leave some love here or in the gallery.

Week 1 of the Next Designer Contest

Good day everyone!

Hope you all are enjoying your Labor Day Weekend, if you celebrate, and soaking of the end of summer. We have finally gotten some rain and relief from the heat. Yesterday we hit a staggering 105 degrees, but luckily we are only in the 80's.

I have found some time to get my entry finished for the Next Designer Contest over at The Studio. We were challenged to make a mini kit with 3 patterned papers, 2 plain papers and 12 elements. We were also given a grouping of pastel colors and a theme of daybreak.... seeing my mornings are filled with running, screaming, fighting and crying, this was a hard theme but I just used my imagination and let the colors inspire me. Make sure to leave some love if you choose to pick it up.... and don't forget to pick up all the other freebie minis as well.

Final Week of Designer Apprentice

Goodday everyone!
Hope you all had a good week.... this week was terribly crazy and today was not an acception. I ran from one appointment to another and from one side of town to another from 7:45am until 3:30pm. I have definately put my mileage in but finally got majority of things out of the way. Now all I have left is to fit a visit to the car dealership to get an oil change, fix my gas cover and the dvd (the children decided to put 2 dvds in the player that only accepts 1 at a time - do have to say it has been nice listening to the radio instead of I want that movie, no I want that movie all the time).

Ok so I had very limited time but did come up with an entry that I am very proud of and love. I did have to redo the preview what feels like a hundred times before I really liked it, and I am still not sure of it. We were asked to do 10 elements (6 had to be layered, 4 had to be basic and we could only use 5 CU) to match either our week 2 papers or week 4. I choose to make elements for last weeks challenge as I love the colors and theme.... plus I got much better response from commentors and judges. I hope you enjoy my interpretation of "Many Thanks"

I want to start with an apology. I was supposed to have this scheduled, in fact, I thought I had but time got away from me and I totally forgot. This last 2 weeks has been crazy with in-laws visiting, school appointments, doctor appointments and helping a friend as her DH got shot in Afghanistan. He is alright but will have to have surgery and is in a hosptial several hours away.

Designer Apprentice Week 4

Good day everyone!
It is a beautiful day here in TN but I know a lot of folks are hunkering down for the Hurricane coming their way. I hope you all stay safe and try to enjoy the ride.

I have just finished my week 4 entry for the Designer Apprentice Challenge. I haven't had much time this week to work on it as I have had my in-laws here (it was a great visit) and a busier schedule than usual. Even today has been busy but I feel accomplished as I painted the backporch area, steam cleaned the area rug, found and scanned some papers for my DH and finished these beautiful papers for you. I had some help with choosing my colors as my colors have been an issue for the judges in this contest. I want to send a "Thank You" out to Sus for her help on the colors.

Alright... this weeks challenge was to create 7 patterned and 3 solid papers from a new color scheme that we had not used in the contest. We were give the option to use up to 3 CU patterned papers but had to make them our own. I am very proud that I did not use any CU patterns.... I created all of mine either by hand or brushes. I really hope that you like them and leave me some love if you choose to pick them up. Don't forget that there are many other designers offering their entries for free as well, so pick them up and tell them how much you appreciate the gift.

Good day everyone!

We are finally getting some relief from the heat here with some clouds and a shower here and there. Along with that we have started up Cub Scouts and Soccer again. As if I wasn't busy enough, my embroidery business is starting to take off again with the start of school. I guess I wasn't meant to just be a lazy stay at home mom... hehe!

Designer Apprentice Week 2

Good day everyone!

Today is a fabulous day for me! My 2 older boys have their first full day of school and my baby is at daycare for the day..... can we say QUIET?!?!? (don't say it too loudly.. hehe). I plan on finishing up some things on the computer, clean up and do some laundry, and then maybe even get a little nap in. I love the sound of silence... yeah!

Ok for you, I have this sweet little paper pack from the Week 2 Challenge. We were instructed to create at least 2 paper textures from scratch and apply them to 4-6 papers. I created 3 different textures.... used each on one paper and then combined them on the other 2 papers. I hope you like them and leave some love if you choose to pick them up.

Designer Apprentice Week 1

Good day all!I have been waiting for today all summer. The kids started school today, 1/2 at least, and will go back on Tuesday for full time. Yippee! Hooray! *Doing the Happy Dance*

Ok enough celebration about that, for now - there will be more on Tuesday as all the kids will be out of the house for the day. I have started yet another designer challenge.... this time its the Designer Apprentice at DigiScrap Addicts. They have split us up into 2 groups - New Designers (designing under 1 yr) and Established Designers (designing and selling more than 1 yr). I fall into the established designers catagory with some truely awesome designers.... but don't worry the new designers group has some pretty awesome designers that I thought would have been in my group.

Week 1 challenge was to extract at least 2 items that you either photographed or scanned yourself this week. They were checking the time/date stamps on the photos to make sure we went out and did them this week. I actually extracted more just because I had some good pictures.... however, that was the easy part as I could not come up with a theme or title for anything. I found a palette pretty quick but it took until Weds to really get moving on the kit. I have 5 papers, 10 different elements and 1 set of date stamps from 2009-2013. I hope you like it and either leave some love here or in the gallery.

Design Factor Winding Down

Good day everyone!
So I have finally finished my last challenge for the Design Factor, which is bittersweet. I loved participating and being able to learn how to make my designs better but I think I will miss the challenges every week. Not to worry though, as another contest is right around the corner. Well I don't want to get ahead of myself, so let's get back to Challenge 6. We were asked to create a 5 paper/15 element mini kit with a "food" theme. I wanted to run and hide when I saw the theme but I have attempted all the other challenges and I knew I had to over come this one as well. I have never done a food theme as I don't really like them... except for all the cupcakes, yummy! I didn't want to be part of the norm, so I decided on fries and milk shakes because they are my favorite duo. My kit called "Fries with that Shake" has shades of pink, cream, white, brown and teal and contains 3 patterned papers, 2 plain papers, 1 button, 2 word arts, 1 frame, 1 box of fries, 2 journal papers, 1 triple stich, 1 layered ribbon, 1 smear, 1 splatter, 2 speech bubbles, 1 flair, & 1 shake. I hope you enjoy it because I am thrilled with the final outcome.

Flower, Ribbons and Strings, OH MY!

Good day!
I hope everyone enjoyed the "blog flight" from the Designers of Faith Sisters. If you haven't caught your flight just yet, you still have time as it will not end until the 1st of August. Make sure to catch all stops as it is a beautiful kit called "Come Fly With Me". Here is my part... just a refresher (if you want the link, please scroll down to the previous thread).

Now on to the new blog hop! Some of the Designers over at the Design Factor Contest decided we would make our Challenge 5 entries into a blog hop as the challenge only had us making elements.... most of us just could not resist making papers as well. This Challenge was hosted by the wonderful ladies of ScrapMatters. They challenged us to choose 1 color palette out of 3, then recolor 12-15 elements to include an alpha. All the items we used had to be CU and 50% had to come from ScrapMatters. Infact, they gave us several free samplers and we HAD to use 4 of those items. So if you see items that are repeated in the mini kits that is the reason. I tried to use the items in a very unique way so that they didn't look like the others. I hope you enjoy mine.... I called it "Blue Bird" and it included 11 elements, 1 lowercase alpha and 3 papers.

The Sun Will Shine Charity Collaboration

I have the honor of making a very special post today as all of us in the United States know that the mid west and south have been ravaged by tornados and flooding that have left many without homes and lives. Myself along with many other Designers have put together a very special collaboration in honor of all those families. All of the proceeds for this charity collaboration will go directly to the American Red Cross. This beautiful kit contains 96 papers, 116 elements, 19 word arts, 5 alphas, 4 templates and 1 set of glitters. You can only pick it up at Digi_ridoo Scraps for only $10.

Good day everyone!
Things have been so crazy at my house as we are closing up the summer and getting prepared for school to start around here. Last minute visits from grandparents and lots of shopping to get everything needed. Just to give you an update on my eye.... it is doing a lot better. I can see but it still hurts a bit, but I can live with that as long as I can see.

In between all of that, I have managed to get you my part of the August Collaboration from Faith Sisters and finished up my entry to the Design Factor Contest (which you will see in the next couple days). So the shop has gotten a little smaller at Faith Sisters as our fellow designers have had to take on the "real" life or felt they had to move on to other designing opportunities; however, the designers we have have made a beautiful kit for you to pick up for FREE for 1 week only! Design Factor Challenge 4

Hi everyone!
Thanks for all the well wishes.... my eye seems to be getting better everyday. They took the bandage contact out last week, which really helped with the pain, and since then the recovery seems to be going really fast. The older boys have been in camp this week, which is good seeing my inspiration has been struggling this week, so I have gotten Challenge 4 done of the Design Factor, added "Hey Dad" to the shop and did my first store collab for my new shop (promise it will be open by August 1st).

Before I give you my entry, I want to remind you that my 60% off sale ends tomorrow so if you wanted to pick up any of my designs at deep discounts, now would be the time. Challenge 3 - Design Factor

Good afternoon everyone!
First I want to thank everyone who left a message of concern for my eyes.... really lightened up my days. I am not completely healed but can see without covering up my left eye now. It still hurts and I go back to the surgeon tomorrow, but it is getting better and that is the most important part.

I did manage to start and finish challenge 3 of the Design Factor contest and the final round of the Nut House Scraps Design for Me contest. The Design Factor entry will be free for you to pick up for 2 weeks however the Design for Me entry you will have to pick up in my shop. But seeing I am having a 60% off sale, you will be able to pick up really cheap. It should be in shop early next week, so you will definately get that discount. Don't forget that if you leave a service members name (can be someone who presently served who is not with us anymore) and I will send you a coupon that you can use with the sale.

For the final week at NutHouse Scraps, we were given the colors, the theme and the title "Hey Dad". Here is my interpretation of this.... as I was having difficulties, it is very generic. I hope you like it and will swing by my shop next week to pick it up.

This week in the Design Factor, we were hosted by NDISD. We were told that it had to be a monochomatic palette with a "pop" of color. This is what I came up with, I hope you like it.

I am so sorry guys for not getting my part of the Digiscrap Forum July Blog Train. On Thursday, my youngest son accidently scratched my eye (in which I have recently had Lasik in) and I had to go into emergency eye surgery to try to fix the problem. So all weekend I have been out of commission since I can only see with one eye. I feel so bad for not getting this up and I hope that you will forgive me but I do appreciate Vicky for alerting me to the fact that I completely forgot.

Good day everyone!
Hope you all are having a better week with the weather than I. Its hot, humid and rain rain rain. Brighter side, I don't have to water the garden. Alright now to whats been going on this week with designing. I have moved on to the final round at Nut House Scraps but am not sure if I will get the inspiration to finish or even start the challenge. They have asked us to do a 'dad' kit but the theme nor the colors are motivating me. If any of you have any ideas, that would be greatly accepted. Now I have gotten week 2 done for the Design Factor at DigiScrap Connect. I hope you enjoyed all the goodies from last week, and if not, run on over there now and pick them all up.
My entry this week was totally inspired by the colors that I completely fell in love with. We were challenged to make 6 patterned papers and 6 plain papers along with coordinating elements. The patterned papers had to be all drawn by hand or at least all yours. I doodled all mine and I hope you like them. The only CU products I used were some textures from TheresK, brushes by BSilvia and styles by EMK, DustyBear, Eserrano, That Girl Designs and Scrappin Cop.... thanks all! Summer Lovin' and Summer Lovin' Mini

Good day everyone!

I have made it on to round 3 over a Nut House Scraps and just started round 1 of the Design Factor over at DigiScrap Connect. Luckily for me both themes were the same so I could work on them at the same time. For the Design for Me contest at Nut House Scraps, I had to complete a full kit using only 5 CU items (except for styles, shapes, textures and brushes). We were given a choice of 20 colors to choose 5-10 and then given the title "Summer Lovin'". I decided to go with 6 colors: 2 blues, green, yellow, brown, and white as they led me to my theme of "summer camp". My boys have been in and out of day camps so far this summer and have more to come and I am sure some of you have the same going on. The kit contains 10 patterned papers, 5 plain papers, 4 wordarts, and 17 different elements (nothing is repeated). I only used 1 set of CU for the kids.... as well as the allowed styles and textures. I am so very proud of this kit, especially since when I quality checked it, I had to figure out how to fix some problems without starting over. So here is my entry for Nut House Scraps:

Now we are off to the Design Factor entry for DigiScrap Connect. This designer contest is a little different than the others as no one gets eliminated as long as they complete the task at hand. Luckily the theme was Summer in this contest as well but only a mini. So I just added on to my main kit with the "Summer Lovin' Mini". This mini contains 3 patterned papers, 2 plain papers, 1 wordart and 9 elements. Week 2 - Coming to an End & Sale almost over

Good day everyone!

It has been a very high stress week for me which is why I have not been on much nor doing much designing. With my DH deployed, trying to deal with everything on my own without much backup here, I get pretty worn out and exhausted. Yesterday was my breaking point, which was pretty good seeing he has been gone since Feb (with a mid tour break of 2 weeks in April). I thought this tour would be easy seeing he just got back from a tour in Korea for a year, but this one is so much harder on the kids and am I not totally sure why. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent... I will now get on to more fun things.

I hope you all have had a good weekend! I have had a fabulous weekend - first with finishing my round 2 entry into the Design for Me contest at Nut House Scraps and second for saving 94% at Walgreens today...woo hoo. I have just started doing strategic couponing to try and save my family money (or at least save on my end so my DH and kids can spend on their side..LOL)

Ok I have gotten off track, you all want a freebie right? Ok well this week we had to make a mini from colors, theme and title given to us. The theme is about the sea and the title is "The Beauty of the Sea". I choose to go a slightly different approach seeing we are not near the sea. I decided that I would go with keeping the memory of the sea in a fishbowl.... given the reason for the fishbowl...hehe. Anyway, I hope you all like it and leave me some love if you choose to download it. I love hearing from you all and would love to see anything you create with it.

Good day everyone!
From the wonderful comments I am getting from you all, you really have been enjoying the "Monkey-ing Around" Blog Train. I really love to read all your comments and I know my CT members are really loving what you are saying about their creations as well. Just to let you know, I get to keep Ari as things have worked out and she will have time to work with my designs... Yeah!!!
Now, I have entered another designer contest (actually two of them but only one has started) over at Nut House Scraps called Design For Me. This first week we were given a swatch with 20 colors which we then had to narrow down to just 5 or so then create a mini kit with 4-6 papers and 10-15 elements using absolutely no CU products. I know that I have had to do this in other contests but we were allowed to us styles and textures from others....this was definately a learning experience (which is why I enter all these contests). I learned how to make my own texture for stitching (which I might turn into a CU style) as well as learned how to use my Art Rage program that I won in another contest. It is not necessarily my favorite mini or grouping of colors but I am proud of it anyway, seeing that everything is from scratch and all mine.
I would love to have some love if you decide to pick it up and of course see anything you might create out of it.

Hi! I'm Alive And Well

Hey everyone....
Sorry that I have been away for so long. Things have been just crazy here in my life with school ending (which means a lot of things I have to attend at the school), my new business of embroidery (that my DH so graciously started right before he left for a year....hmmmm), and of course trying to get some designing done (which has been on the back burner).
I finished up the ADSR which was so wonderful seeing I haven't gotten to just scrap in such a long time. Below you will see the rest of my layouts and some of the kits I used to make them.
This one is about my middle son while we were on vacation in Michigan last year.... the kit used is called Just Beachy and should be released some time in the next month or so.

This one is me (which I don't scrap about much) and I used my "Preppy Princess" kit

This one is about a family recipe that has been passed down from generation to generation. It is the yummiest "Chocolate Gravy and Buscuits". The kit I used is called "Home Cooked Happiness" a Faith Sisters Collaboration

This next layout is about a wonderful lady who has just been outstanding with my son and has coached his soccer team for 2 years now (or rather 4 seasons).

Finally my last layout of the race is about all the wonderful people I have met and call my "accidental family". I want to thank all of you that support me in my adventures here online as well as in my life. All the wonderful comments just radiate love and compassion.....THANK YOU! The kit I used was my "A Mother's Blessing" kit.

Now that the race is over, its back to designing. I don't have anything new in my shop but I have been working on a couple of charity collaborations as well as the upcoming "The Blog Train" for June 1st as well as a new blog train which will be released on a monthly basis starting July 1st, so definately be on the look out for some freebies. I also have a guest designer stint coming up in August where I will have an exclusive kit just for that shop. You will have to stay tuned to find out where I will be guesting. However, I would love everyones input on what type of kit they would like to see as my exclusive..... I have some ideas for the kit but would like to hear what you all are specifically looking for. All you have to do leave note in the comments area, if your idea is choosen (and you leave contact information) you will recieve the kit for free. I will be taking ideas through July 1st.

I hope you all are having better weather than we have been having here. For the last several days we have had tornados, severe wind and rain, lightening and thunder and never know when we will lose our power. And from what the news says, its not over just yet. But I have found a little time (and power) to finish up my entry for the finale over at "The Studio". I decided to go with some word art thanks so some suggestions given to me. I have come up with 6 different ones.... some of which come with alternates with/without shadow and with/without add ons. Collaboration Release and Template Challenge

I hope everyone is having a great Thursday so far as my time with my DH has been great. Though it hasn't been really relaxing, we have gotten a lot done around the house such as new hardwood floors in my living room and a sliding glass door to my deck (the other door had been leaking and rotting).

Round 3 - The Alpha

Good morning everyone...
I have had a few minutes in between spending time with my DH and my kids to get my round 3 entry into "The Studio" design contest. Though I will not be around much, there will still be so much for you to do and pick up that you might not even notice that I am off in "make believe land" - that is I make believe that I will not have to send my DH back to war. This week is my birth day... so watch out for a super special sale for that day only, I will have the elements pack to match "Happy My Day", possibly some wonder QPs from my outstanding CT members, Thursday Designer Template Challenge at Faith Sisters, ADRS layouts 7 & 8 as well a very special collaboration release. So much to do and so little time to do it in.

The Salebration Continues

Good afternoon everyone!
My DH has arrived home safely for his mid-tour from Afghanistan. He will be here for 15 days so I might be a little incognito as we will want to spend as much time with him as possible. He will return to Afghanistan and not come back to us until Feb of next year. It will be a long time, so forgive me if I am not around.
Well before I disappear, I want to show you what I did for the ADSR this week. We were only required to do one challenge this week as our second challenge host has been placed in the hospital. They offered us an optional challenge in place of it but I do not know if I will get to it. The first challenge was to have us tell everyone what our "pefect day off" would be. We were also given three "recipes" to choose from to complete our layout. I choose the first recipe which was to have 3 papers, 1 frame, 1 journaling block, one or more buttons, 1 title, and 1 ribbon. Here is my layout.... you can find it here if you want to leave love.

Now my Birthday Salebration is continuing with a new percentage off and of course a freebie for you all. This week most of my shop will be at 50% off through Thurs 21st. Design Contest Round 2

Good day everyone...
Its pretty soggy here but luckily it stopped everytime I had to walk to the car... yeah! But I like the rain as it is soothing and very helpful for my garden and grass that I am attempting to grow this year. Never been much of a green thumb and tend to kill any pets I own (let you know that I have never owned anything bigger than a gerbil).
Well, I have finished round 2 of the design contest at "The Studio". We had to make 30 (no more no less) elements to match our color scheme from round 1. You can now pick up both the elements and the papers over at the gallery. If you pick up mine or others, please leave some love either here or in the gallery. We have worked hard on these items and am offering them to you for free.

Week Round Up

Good Saturday everyone!
I thought before I started the day with soccer games, I would drop by here and give you a rundown of what has been going on this week with my contests.
First the ADSR really stretched things this week with some very interesting challenges. The first was to do a layout of what our family does together (or what each like to do) but the trick was that you had to have the focus part to be about that and you had to journal. The second one this week we had to do as a team..... My partner, Michele, gave me photos and journaling and I had to do the layout. We had to do a layout about traveling and had to make sure we had a "vehicle" some where in the layout. Here are the layouts from this week.

Ok so for the Designer Contest over at The Studio..... I came in 2nd place for my first week entry..... toot! toot! for me. That is so exciting seeing there were so many wonderful entries for this week. Now I am presently working on the new challenge which is to have 30 elements that match the papers. We continue with the wedding theme and our color palettes.... I am about half way there right now with my new entry but of course the weekend is always busy. Don't forget that the papers for round 1 are still available for you to download for free... please make sure to leave love for any designer that you might download from as we all work hard.

Charity Mega Collaboration for Heather Manning

Good morning everyone!
It is a beautiful day here.... thankfully, I have been pretty gloomy with all the cold and rain lately. Not to mention the mud the boys seem to be attracted to. But after getting the cleaning done, some creativity flowing and so designing done, I plan on taking them to the park to get some of their energy out.

I have told you that I am involved in the ADSR 6 which has released another challenge.... this one is going to be tough but I will hopefully get it done before the next one is released. I am also going to get working on some freebies for you as well as a new collaboration that will be coming out in May. Until then, please check out this wonderful Mega Charity Collaboration in honor of Heather Manning and her family. Heather is a fellow designer who came home from her holiday to find that her home had burnt down. No one lost their lives, including her pets, but the home was a total loss. She has braved this with high spirits and positivity. In fact, she has been seen participating in other charities even though she is homeless. Over 70 designers came together to create this awesome kit in efforts to raise money to help her build a new home. All proceeds will go directly to Heather and her family. The kit contains 200 papers and 376 elements, plus several alphas, styles and templates. This is just a collaboration you do not want to miss out on... and doing it for a good cause is just a huge bonus!

You can pick up this kit in several differnt options.... Bundle, Kit, Alpha, Tmeplates, 2 different styles but I would go for the entire bundle to make sure you don't miss anything. You can pick it up only at Scrappity-doo-dah here.

I wanted to thank all of you who have picked up my part of the blog train and left some really nice comments. Please remember that if you missed any of the previous trains that I have been on, the links are still up and you can pick them up as well.
Now I have entered another designer contest, this time over at The Studio. This contest is less stressful than others as they will have weekly winners, you can play any week(s) you want and the admin/designers are the only ones who will vote. However, you can still pick up all the freebies for the next 4 weeks to make yourself either a mega collab or many smaller kits. So far it seems that a lot of us have chosen to work with a very similar color scheme. We got to pick our colors and they picked "Wedding" as the theme. The title of mine is "Playing For Keeps" and you can pick my papers up in the gallery post now. Please be nice and either leave a comment here or in the gallery. NO PIRATES ALLOWED... another train is leaving

Good day everyone!

I know it has been a while since I have posted and that is because my children have had spring holiday and I have been trying to keep them busy so they don't drive me crazy. I am crazy enough trying to run the house, take care of them and try to fit in designing and now creating as I have entered the ADSR. Not sure what I was thinking, but someone said they needed a partner and I need to get back to basics so that maybe my designing can get even better.
Ok now for the new "Blog Train"! This month is called "No Pirates Allowed" because as designers we have tired of people taking our designs and either selling them or giving them away to others without our permission. Though the kit is more pirate/ninja inspired the whole premise is to remember we work hard for what we do and when we give freebies it is out of a wonderful place in our hearts. We love to share our talent but do not like to be take advantage of, so while you download all the wonderful parts of this blog train, remember to send others to our blogs for the downloads and leave love for each designer you choose to download from.

ADSR Challenge 1 and 2 plus Sale

Good day everyone!

Things have been pretty hectic here but are finally starting to settle back into a normal schedule after spring break. The ADSR contest has started and we have already completed 2 challenges. My partner is Michele known as Creatively Obessed in the forums. We are known as Team 107 - The Faith Sisters for the contest. It would be wonderful if you could stop by and leave us some love or at least check out the sponsors of the challenges.

Our first challenge given out by the new shop Digi Scrap Connect. We had to have a layout telling 6 things about our family.

Our second challenge came to us from Scrappity-Doo-Dah. This challenge was a little more detailed as they requested we use 2 papers layered on each other, 3 shapes cut out of the top paper, a title, 1 photo of someone who inspires us and journaling of 25-50 words.

Now coming up in April, I am going to be celebrating my 39th birthday! I would love for you all to celebrate with me so I have huge sales going on as well as freebies throughout the month. On the 16th is one of my fabulous creative team members birthdays as well. I think it would be outstanding to wish her a happy birthday on that day (she always says that she don't get too many people to her blog.... maybe we could make her day!) Every week will be a different sale and on my Birth Day there will be a super special sale. I will hopefully have a couple new collaborations ready for the month as well as some other releases included a free template that will be given out for my Template Thursday Challenge mid month at Faith Sisters. Charity for Multiple Sclerosis and Winner of "Lucky" Drawing

March 14-20, 2011 is National Multiple Sclerosis Awareness week, and in honor of that, 34 designers got together to create a mega-kit called "Movement," and then a Creative Team got together to design matching Quick Pages and Templates.

MS stops people from moving, and we're raising money to help the National MS Society make sure that doesn't happen.

This kit includes 190 Papers, 419 Elements, 3 Alphas, and the QP set includes 42 QPs, 1 brag book, and 6 templates.

100% of the proceeds from the sale of this bundle go to the National MS Society, more specifically, Mandy Hornbuckle's BikeMS ride.

One Day Only "Lucky" Sale

Helping with An Austism Charity with Chance of Multiple Freebies

First I want to send out prayers to everyone in Japan and in the way of the aftermath. God speed with recovery and healing of the loss of life.

Now I have a fellow designer who has asked to help with promotion of a Template Package that she put together to help raise money for Autism. She has a child with Autism and I have 3 of them. This charity hits very close to home for me and would be grateful if you all helped support it. She will not be receiving any money as the purchase goes right through the donation site. New CU Release and Freebie

Good Morning...

I hope everyone is having a good friday... as mine has started off with 1 little one with a fever and 2 others with a cough, then me with a sore throat. Hopefully it will quickly move on and not get worse.

So today I have release a new CU product. When I created my last entry for the STS contest, I made some layered templates that I thought others might be able to use. So this CU kit contains, layered templates in PSD format. I hope you enjoy them and pick them up while they are on sale for 35% off.

And you all know that its very rare that I don't leave you with a little freebie, so here is a bow that I photographed for the same kit. It is in 300dpi and in orignal color but easily recolored. I would appreciate you if you could leave some love when you pick up the freebie.

Final Round Entry Is In!

Well hey everyone!

I have finally finished my final round entry for the contest at Stuff to Scrap. Unfortunately I did not move on in the contest over at ScrapMatters but thats ok because I really needed the time to focus on finishing up the kit for Stuff to Scrap. My eyes are extremely tired from working for hours yesterday to finish up and quality check the kit, but I think it is well worth it. My kit is called "Preppy Princess" and it was inspired by an ad I received in the mail. I am not a girly girl type kit making person so this really stretched my abilities and creativity. There are 10 papers, 24 elements, 3 wordarts and 2 alphas. You can pick up all the parts of the kit here except for the 2nd alpha, as we could only enter one. I should also have some glitters and other freebies for you in the next couple days so be on the look out. I would love to see some layouts created with this kit. You can post them here in the gallery or you could send them to me at dba.apupplo@gmail.com. It would be outstanding if you left myself and the other finalist some love if you choose to pick up our entries!

Overwhelming Number of Freebie Minis

Good afternoon everyone..

No I still cannot really see that well but much better than it was. Now I see the letters on the computer but they are just doubled a little. I go back tomorrow to get a check and I will see what the doctor says about how things are healing.
Put the DH on his plane last night and had a rough night with one of my little guys. He is extremely close to dad and just is so sad that daddy had to leave and go to Afganistan for a year. We have some really cute "daddy dolls" that were given to us free, and I am going to print some pics of dad to put in the face part. The kids also recieved little dog tags that I can put a photo in; so the photos I took yesterday of each of the boys with their daddy will be going in them.
Luckily I have enough going on with my vision and trying to design that it won't set in for me for a couple weeks or so. I usually do alright the first couple weeks then it hits me but with the support you all have shown, I am sure I will make it. Thanks for all the support by the way!
Ok I have vented enough.... I have entered another designer contest, this time over at ScrapMatters. I am still in the final round over at Stuff To Scrap but I have to finish a full kit and don't have to turn it in until next week. But good news for all of you... a free full kit with alpha and everything (not to mention the other 9 finalists). Ok so for this contest, we (meaning 90 of us) were given secret numbers and a color palette to work with. We were told we could only us 2 commercial use items, but luckily I only had to use one...yeah for me, I am learning so much. Anyway, I thought I would show you some of the fantastic minis you can pick up over at ScrapMatters. If you happen to pick them up, please leave some love and if you do a layout, place it in the gallery, you will recieve points towards free stuff at the shop.
